The Johann Adolf Hasse Museum is a Hamburg museum dedicated to the German composer Johann Adolf Hasse. It is one of the six museums of the so-called KomponistenQuartier, a union of six museums along the Peterstraße, dedicated to famous composers who have spent parts of their lives in Hamburg. The presentation begins with his childhood and youth, Hasse being a descendant of Hamburg-Bergedorf church musicians. His career as a successful composer is then shown. The collection consists of textbooks of his works (booklets), historical prints of musical compositions, sets and costumes. One piece in the collection is a replica of an opera stage from the Baroque era. The museum uses multimedia devices to enhance the visiting experience.
