The Museum Haarlem is a city museum in Haarlem , the Netherlands . The museum is dedicated to presenting and preserving the cultural history of Haarlem and the surrounding region.
The Haarlem Museum houses a collection of historical paintings and artifacts, including items from the collection of the Coen Cuser Stichting , a former orphanage converted into apartments. In the chronology room there are artifacts on Haarlem's history from the 13th century to modern times and in the small auditorium a statue of Laurens Janszoon Coster stands next to an old book press. Museum Haarlem collaborates with schools and other museums in Haarlem and often hosts temporary exhibitions on the history of Kennemerland.
