Another major exhibition will enrich the events calendar of "GO!2025", the event conceived and promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region on the occasion of Nova Gorica Gorizia, European Capital of Culture. From December 21, 2024, to May 4, 2025, Palazzo Attems Petzenstein in Gorizia will host the major exhibition "Andy Warhol. Beyond Borders". The project highlights the journey of one of the main protagonists of Pop Art, taking the audience to the heart of the cultural and artistic revolution that Warhol was able to embody.

"Including an event of the magnitude of the exhibition 'Andy Warhol. Beyond Borders' in the kaleidoscopic calendar of initiatives of GO! 2025 confirms the importance of Friuli Venezia Giulia in the European cultural landscape," declared the President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Massimiliano Fedriga. "Hosting together with our Slovenian friends the European Capital of Culture, in addition to ensuring great opportunities for enhancing the entire territory from a tourist perspective, ensures that all citizens have the opportunity to enjoy exhibitions of very high value like the one dedicated to the founder of Pop Art, which will surely attract the public's attention."

With 180 works, the exhibition retraces the artistic career and life of the great American artist, as well as the founding themes of his aesthetics, starting from his training as an illustrator in the fields of advertising and fashion, two worlds that deeply influenced his career and artistic strategies as a pop artist. The exhibition explores themes such as fashion, music, cinema, and consumerism: these key aspects not only marked Warhol's work but continue to be fundamental elements of contemporary art. The iconic series Campbell’s Soup, Flowers, and Marilyn, along with portraits of famous figures like Jackie Kennedy, Mohammed Ali, Grace Kelly, and even Superman and Mickey Mouse, show how the artist was able to transform mass culture into timeless icons. The exhibited works come from European collections, as well as numerous magazines from the 1950s and a significant number of Interview magazine issues, dozens of vinyl record covers, videos, and photographs.
