Thursday 6 April 2023 at 5.30 pm , Palazzo Reale di Genova hosts the sixth meeting of the cycle of conferences THE CURATOR AND THE ARCHITECT: Dialogues on (new) Museums in the Ballroom, with the intervention of Christian Greco , Director of the Egyptian Museum in comparison with the architect Enrico Barbero .

In this meeting the director Christian Greco and the architect Enrico Barbero will present the evolution of the Egyptian Museum which, to celebrate the bicentenary of its birth in 2024, is creating new spaces and rethinking the itineraries with the idea that the museum should be a place of cultural growth. The addition of new permanent exhibition halls aims to increase the fruition of the material culture it houses.

The cycle of conferences THE CURATOR AND THE ARCHITECT: Dialogues on (new) Museums, with a calendar of meetings from 3 November 2022 to 4 May 2023, is dedicated to the most recent and interesting cases of museum renewal in Italy and beyond, in a two-voice confrontation between the figure of the curator and that of the architect in charge of transforming the layouts and exhibition itineraries according to the new communication and accessibility needs.
