The A.N.M.I.G Foundation, through the Rapallo section, is pleased to present in the historic central hall of its local headquarters the intense exhibition "Battere ciglio. Nicola Neonato", a new project aimed at enhancing the artistic heritage of the institution. A moment - the third collaboration with Casa del Mutilato in Genoa (after the in-depth meeting "Attenti al filo! La Memoria in Alessandro Berretti, artist" and the double-personal exhibition "Il ricordo, la sua salute. Raffaele Collina, Edgardo Rossaro") - that aims to investigate the pictorial research of one of the most sensitive personalities in Liguria during the twentieth century towards the public transmission of democratic and pacifist ideals, as an enduring testimony of the horrors of the world wars. A lesson, that of Neonato, which did not develop exclusively within national borders, as it also directly reached one of the extermination sites: the Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany, frescoing the Italian Votive Chapel in the early Sixties.

The exhibition, supported by Agostino Pendola (President A.N.M.I.G. - Liguria Region) and Guido Vinacci (President A.N.M.I.G. - Genoa Section), curated by Matteo Lenuzza, will be open from November 1st to 3rd from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, coinciding with the extraordinary openings of the Passo Santa Chiara Rooms. An event, held in support of the celebrations of National Unity Day, which aims to support and reaffirm the public dimension of works in freely accessible city spaces; a central value in Neonato's own production. An ideal, this, cornerstone in the now centuries-old history of actions and interventions of a Foundation always at the forefront for a concrete active involvement of the community. Especially regarding its cultural heritage, through always free events aimed at a historical-artistic dissemination that places the institution's pictorial, sculptural, and architectural heritage at the base of the narrative. "Battere Ciglio", a title that takes up a passage from the text chosen by the artist to describe the exhibited scenes - exceptionally accessible through a new arrangement of the interior spaces - aims to stimulate the action of citizens in the physical reappropriation of public art. An active horizon, also in the didactic proposal of A.N.M.I.G., which for years has involved thousands of students through the national project Pietre della Memoria, already a winner of the Representation Medal of the President of the Republic. Aggregation and gratuity therefore once again at the center of the cultural projects of an institution that pursues its task of familiarizing the public with a precious art collection that - although private - wants to make itself increasingly available to visitors, always through exhibitions and events with free access.

Furthermore, two very young and deserving information portals will be directly featured for the first time as media partners for a Foundation project: ArteInBreve by Riccardo Fattore and Donne della Resistenza by Benedetta Pape, recognized as "Alfiere della Repubblica" by the President Sergio Mattarella.
