The Museo del Novecento is located in Florence in the historic city center. The Museum is located within the complex of the Hospital of Leopoldine, near the Church of Santa Maria Novella. The Museum is dedicated to the art of the twentieth century and includes an important collection of civic collections. Surely of great value are the works of Alberto Della Ragione collection donated to the city of Florence in 1966. They are part of the donation of Reason works by artists such as Filippo De Pisis, Gino Severini, Giorgio Morandi, Mario Mafai, Renato Guttuso, Felice Casorati Giorgio De Chirico and many others. Another important donation was made by Ottone Rosai Ottone Rosai in 1963 was an artist famous for his views of Florence, Rome and portraiture realist and expressionist. Its collection consists mostly of portraits of the series of Tondini and Friends made in the forties and fifties. The Museo del Novecento hosts temporary exhibitions of international artists and conferences with thematic analysis. The museum is also famous for his teaching activities with projects, workshops and guided tours for families and children.
