The Artoteca Di-Se exhibition hall is an exhibition space dedicated to the theme of illustration, housed inside the Mellerio Rosmini College in Domosossola.
The art library is an action of the Interreg Italy-Switzerland project “DI-SE. Getting to know the territory through drawing and the arts”. Born from a network design work, "Di-SE" sees the Ossola Museums Association as the Italian lead partner, the Museumzentrum La Caverna di Naters in Canton Valais as the Swiss lead partner and the Asilo Bianco Cultural Association of Ameno as partner . Observing and drawing signs have always been forms of knowledge and exploration of the world. In an increasingly globalized and virtual context, the "Di-SE" project aims to restore space and value to the ability to observe and understand reality through the arts and in particular drawing, a salient feature of human artistic ability since prehistoric times. To promote and share the works of art produced during the project and made available by the artists involved, the Artoteca was created, an original way to bring art directly into homes with a temporary and free loan formula. The aim of the Artoteca is to bring contemporary art closer to those who have remained distant from it for cultural or economic reasons. The collection will mainly host illustration works, prints and drawings, art forms that are easier to understand and appreciate. Since the Artoteca stands not only as a tool for cultural diffusion but also for social inclusion, the creation of a meeting space is envisaged in which to organize: courses in various artistic techniques, meetings with authors, in-depth conferences, teaching workshops of art for adults and children on site and during school hours.
