Escher in Het Paleis is a museum in The Hague,the Netherlands , which exhibits the works of Dutch graphic artist MC Escher.
Escher in Het Paleis is housed in the Lange Voorhout Palace , a former royal residence from the 18th century. The first and second floors house exhibits showing the palace's royal period.
Escher in Het Paleis presents a permanent exhibition of a large number of woodcuts and lithographs by MC Escher , including the famous Air and Water (birds become fish) prints; Belvedere (the inside of a madness); Waterfall (where the water seems to flow upwards); Drawing (two hands drawing each other). Escher in Het Paleis shows the first beautiful Italian landscapes, the numerous mirror prints and a choice from the tessellation designs, also the three versions of the Metamorphosis, from the first small, to the third, of 7 meters. This is shown in a circle. It highlights the museum's new take on MC Escher's work.
The third floor of the museum is dedicated to Optical Illusion, in addition to the famous Escher Room where adults appear to be smaller than their children, the eyes will be fooled by multiple interactive displays.
