The MACK - Crotone Museum of Contemporary Art is located in the historic city center. The Museum is housed in the Palazzo Barraco since 2008, the year of its inauguration. Previously housed in the halls of the ancient palace Source - Calojro, the museum was closed for several years until the new construction. The museum was born with the need to document and promote the works of contemporary Italian art after World War II to the present. The museum is divided into 10 exhibition rooms on two floors where develops its collection. Part of famous artists collection in the world, such as: Carla Accardi, Mimmo Rotella, Carrino, Joseph Hooks, Pisani, Hidetoshi Nagasawa, Bruno Ceccobelli, Claudio Verna, Nino Longobardi, Alfredo Pirri, Serafino Maiorano, Ascanio Renda, Ferdinando True, Alighiero Boetti and many others.
