Cremona Contemporanea returns from 18 to 26 May | Art Week, an exhibition dedicated to the visual arts that transforms Cremona into a place of knowledge and discovery, through exhibitions, meetings and events aimed at stimulating dialogue between the art of the present and the vast historical-artistic heritage that the city preserves. The initiative, created with the artistic direction of Rossella Farinotti and the coordination of C FAgency , is promoted by the Department of Culture of Cremona with the collaboration of the Province of Cremona , the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona and Confcommercio of the province of Cremona .

Building on the success of the first edition, which recorded over 15,000 visitors, Cremona Contemporanea | Art Week intends to continue to be an important opportunity for the valorisation and promotion of the Cremonese artistic heritage, in Italy and abroad.

There are numerous innovations planned for the new edition , which has been designed to grow the event towards an increasingly international dimension and greater integration with the local heritage.

To give life to Cremona Contemporanea | Art Week 2024 will feature 20 contemporary artists active on the international scene - including important Italian names and a wide choice of foreign artists - different from each other in terms of generation and approach, selected by the curator for the impact of their works and for adherence to history and themes of the Cremonese places where they will be welcomed.

From site-specific installations to large-format paintings, from sculpture to video art, up to ceramics and textile productions. The works - some of which were produced specifically for the occasion - will accompany the public along an exhibition itinerary to discover places in the city which in many cases are not usually accessible to the public, but which thanks to Cremona Contemporanea | Art Week are "exhibited" together with the works of the contemporary artists called to activate them.
