The BRAND - Catanzaro Museum of Art is located in the historic city center. The museum was founded in 2008 and houses a collection of artists mainly Southern Italy from the sixteenth to the twentieth century. The museum is home to an art gallery and a collection of plaster casts with baroque works, veristic, neo-Gothic, naturalist and symbolist. The collection consists of paintings and sculptures of famous artists, such as: Battistello Caracciolo, Salvator Rosa, Mattia Preti, Enzo Cucchi, Alessandro Mendini, Andrea Cefaly, Jerace Francesco and Antonio Saliba. One of the flagship projects of the MARCA is the "Contemporary Sculpture" project that annually hosts international artists. Until now we were involved: Jan Fabre, Mimmo Paladino, Antony Gormely, Wim Delvoye, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Daniel Buren and Staccioli. Alongside the exhibition spaces was born the International Sculpture Park, the first in the entire South. Inside were placed 23 works, among the most important: "The man who measures the clouds" by Jan Fabre, the "Third Paradise" by Michelangelo Pistoletto and "installation of four works" by Mimmo Paladino. Today, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events in connection with citizens.
