The Mimmo Rotella Foundation - House of Memory is located in the center of Catanzaro. The Foundation is located inside the artist's birthplace and was founded in 2000. The main objective of the Foundation is to protect, promote and enhance the works of Mimmo Rotella. Mimmo Rotella was a contemporary artist of the twentieth century, author of the Manifesto of Epistaltism and of internationally famous works. Inside the house, conceived by the artist's will, as a sacred place, like a church, rigorous and white, there are works that trace Rotella's career: photos, memorabilia, and a well-stocked specialized library, as well as a maxi screen, intended for teaching, so that the House of Memory can become a point of reference for the study of contemporary artistic experience. Among the most significant works on display, we find the famous décollages, ready - mades and finally photographic documents. His works are inspired by the masters of the past: from Caravaggio to Modigliani, from Duchamp to Andy Wahrol. The foundation is constantly committed to enhancing and promoting emerging artists, especially from Southern Italy.
