The Civic Museum of Castelbuono is pleased to present to the public the results of the project “ The cut, the graft, the castle ” by Domenico Mangano & Marieke van Rooy , in an exhibition curated by Valentina Bruschi .
 
On the occasion of the artist residency in Castelbuono [March - May 2022] the Italian-Dutch duo of artists came into close contact with the local workers for the production of sculptures that enter the permanent collection of the Civic Museum.

 
During August 4th and 24th Mangano & vanRooy will activate the sculptures with a participatory performance . On 24 August at 6.00 pm the artists will meet the public, together with Maria Rosa Sossai, curator of the cultural program dedicated to the project.
 
The project will also extend onto the facade of the Ventimiglia Castle with an unpublished video projection that will be screened on the occasion of the Ypsigrock Festival .
