The Frac Normandie Caen (Fond régional d'art contemporain Normandie Caen), is a museum and exhibition space in Caen dedicated to contemporary art. The Frac are institutions created at the beginning of the Eighties which aim to create public collections of contemporary art, to spread them and to create new forms of art diffusion. Today, every French region is equipped with a Frac.
Its collection consists of over 1200 works and counts around 500 French and international artists, and continues to enrich each year through new acquisitions. History and contemporary society are constantly challenged through works of different genres (photographs, sculptures, paintings, videos, installations).
