The Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center (Robert Capa Kortárs Fotográfiai Központ) is the main space dedicated to documentary and contemporary photography in Budapest. Inaugurated in December 2013 in a villa at Nagymező utca 8, in the heart of the city's cultural district, it was created to preserve and promote the legacy of the famous Hungarian photojournalist Robert Capa, acquired by the State in 2008.
In addition to exhibitions, the center promotes workshops, debates, films, and seminars, and has established the prestigious Hungarian Photography Grand Prize. Housed in the former Ernst Museum (modern art), the center combines modern architecture and intimate spaces for a curated environment.
