The Blaise Museum is one of the five museums belonging to the Bristol Museums. It is located on Henbury Road, surrounded by a beautiful park as well as a historic garden. The spaces of the museum are those of an ancient historical residence. The museum houses, in the so-called Sala dei Quadri, an interesting collection of paintings and works of art.The beautiful Sala dei Quadri also has its classic-style portico and glass domed ceiling, added to the house between 1832 and 1833. Among the artists on display are the collections of the English William James Müller, James Curnock, Charles Branwhite, James Baker Pyne and Henry Hewitt. The room has been restored to its former glory, its walls are decorated with a red flocked paper. In addition to the art collection, the visitor can also admire the collection of toys, some dating back to the 1800s including for example rocking horses, dolls and board games. The Blaise museum is also a museum that chronicles the customs and traditions of Bristol's past. Here it is possible to admire the collection of ancient utensils and kitchen tools used in the English city for three hundred years and also the costumes of the time, with a collection of about 1700 objects, from 1730 to today. Finally, not to be forgotten is the historic garden that surrounds the building.
