The Poole Museum occupies four interconnected buildings.

The Poole Museum's main entrance leads to Oakley's Mill, a Victorian-style grain warehouse with a mill where the museum's exhibits are held. The third building is the medieval Wool Hall. Built around 1300, with stone walls and a magnificent wooden roof.

Across Sarum Street is the fourth building: Scaplen's Court Museum, considered the best kept medieval estate in Poole. However, Scaplen's Court is open to the public only in summer in August while the herb and plant garden is usually open throughout the summer.

In addition to these buildings we also manage Sir Anthony Caro's sculpture Sea Music of international importance, a few meters above the quay.
