Museo Ottocento Bologna is sponsored by the Municipality of Bologna and enriches the city's exhibition itinerary dedicated to the 19th and 20th centuries. The new reality is part of a national project with the aim of dialogue with the main Italian institutions, joining already established museums such as the Giovanni Boldini Museum and the Nineteenth Century Museum in Ferrara, the Giovanni Fattori Civic Museum in Livorno, the Revoltella Museum in Trieste, the GAM - Modern Art Gallery in Milan, the Divisionismo Pinacoteca Cassa di Risparmio di Tortona Foundation, born in 2001, and the recently opened Museum of the Nineteenth Century Di Persio-Pallotta Foundation in Pescara. In addition to the permanent collection, Museo Ottocento Bologna will organize meetings open to the public, conferences, study days and temporary exhibitions.
