From 24 May to 3 November 2019
"Vivaldi. My life, my music" is the title of the new exhibition scheduled at Palazzo Fava from 24 May to 3 November next. An unusual exhibition for the carraccesque rooms of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni by Genus Bononiae. Museums in the city, which for the first time hosts a great immersive show to tell in an unprecedented way the life and works of Antonio Vivaldi, one of the best known and most performed composers in the world.
The exhibition-show, produced by Emotional Experiences Srl and Genus Bononiae. Museums in the city, intends to tell the great composer to a transversal audience, from classical music lovers to all those who want to explore an extraordinary existence like that of the author of The Four Seasons .
Among spectacular images, videomapping that break through the walls, creating new architectures, sets and freely reconstructed environments and immersive music, the exhibition narrates the human and artistic story of the "Red Priest" - so he was called because of his tawny hair. From childhood to the priesthood, from the years of teaching music at the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice, where the city's orphans were hosted, to international successes, up to the oblivion that covered his music for almost two centuries and the rediscovery of his work by Ezra Pound: a veritable whirlwind of emotions in which art and life are inextricably intertwined.
