From 18 May to 28 June 2020
Nine international museums, 16 tables, 300 years of waiting, a great homecoming. The one celebrated at Palazzo Fava is an extraordinary event. Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Bologna with the reconstitution of one of the greatest masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance: the Griffoni Polyptych by Francesco del Cossa and Ercole de 'Roberti returns to shine in its entirety, 550 years after its construction and 300 years after its disintegration, in a exhibition that for the first time brings together all the existing parts, thanks to the extraordinary loans of all the proprietary museums: National Gallery in London, Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan, Louvre in Paris, National Gallery of Art in Washington, Cagnola di Gazzada Collection (Va), Vatican Museums, National Picture Gallery of Ferrara, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen of Rotterdam, Vittorio Cini Collection of Venice.
The exhibition, commissioned by Genus Bononiae. Museums in the city and supported by the Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna Foundation, will open to the public on 12 March and will be open until 28 June 2020.
