The Boros Collection is a private contemporary art museum in Berlin. It is located in the Mitte district, in a bunker built in 1943 as a shelter against bombing. Subsequently, the building had other functions, becoming first a prison camp, then a textile and banana depot, and finally a techno nightclub, in the early 1990s. In 1996 it was bought by Christian Boros, a German entrepreneur and collector, who transformed it into a private museum of contemporary art where he exhibits his own collection. Officially opened to the public in 2008, with its 3000 square meters the building is particularly suitable for the exhibition of works and installations of contemporary art. In the Museum you can find pieces by Thea Djordjadze, Ai Weiwei, Klara Liden, Wolfgang Tillman, Olafur Eliasson and Sarah Lucas.
