The KINDL – Centre for Contemporary Art is located on the historic grounds of the former Kindl Brewery in Berlin-Neukölln, where it has been showcasing changing exhibitions of international contemporary art since 2016. In addition to painting, sculpture, installation, and performance, film and video presentations are another focus in the program of the institution. The KINDL sees itself as a production and discussion space for contemporary art, responding to recent artistic developments. The exhibition projects are accompanied by an extensive discourse and mediation program that aims to contribute to current debates. Today, the "Café Babette" serves visitors in the former brewhouse - in the warmer months also in the beer garden "Babette's Garden" under shady plane trees in the forecourt.
