From 29 March to 14 April 2019
Curated by Piergiorgio Pascolati
The exhibition in memory of the great Brazilian champion 25 years after his death, between sport and solidarity.
The exhibition itinerary will start from Ayrton 's childhood, with family photos and private documents, to then move on to his beginnings as a driver, first with karts and then with participation in the Formula Ford championship, witnessed by the exhibition of two Van Diemen cars with which Senna participated and won at the championships of the 1981 and 1982 seasons.
We will continue through different environments related to the Brazilian driver's career, where it will be possible to admire helmets (not only of Senna but also of his opponent's champions on the track), suits, trophies, and many other memorabilia, alternating with images, videos and sound effects.
Among the most exciting pieces that will be exhibited, we cannot fail to mention the cars; in addition to the aforementioned Formula Ford, the 1983 Formula 3 Ralt RT3 will be on display, with which he won the English championship (always the most important in the world) and three Formula 1. It will be the splendid black Lotus John Player Special of 1986, of McLaren number 1 of 1991 and McLaren number 8 of 1993.
Also framed by a photo gallery of the friend and famous photographer Keith Sutton and two works created by the artists Ugo Nespolo and Knulp in honor of Senna.
Within this exciting journey, a space completely dedicated to the Ayrton Senna Institute, as the “central soul” of the event necessary to impose a pause for reflection on the need to help the most needy.
Here the history of the Institute will be told: figures, history, videos and the exhibition of many of the Senna branded objects, which thanks to their sale provide it with income for its daily charitable activity.
