The Donatello exhibition was inaugurated a few days ago by the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation . The Renaissance curated by Francesco Caglioti, an event linked to the exhibition Donatello's sculpture in Antonio Quattrone's photographs that the Bruschi Foundation presented on Saturday 2 April.
Within the exhibition itinerary, a documentary made by Sky Arte on the life and work of the Renaissance artist will be visible through the images of the masterpieces exhibited in the two locations of Palazzo Strozzi and the Bargello National Museum, but also exclusive footage of the preparation and contributions by the curator of the exhibition and the directors of the two museums.
The exhibition at the Casa Museo will allow the visitor to retrace the entire artistic story of the Florentine master focusing on details of sculptures whose remarkable suggestion derives precisely from the expressive effectiveness of the shot chosen by Antonio Quattrone, and from how the photographic lens manages to investigate the quality of the different materials used by the artist with extraordinary creative freedom.
