The MARQ is an archaeological museum of the co-city of Alicante. Here the past of a people is told, its origins and its evolution. The Museum offers the opportunity to deepen what the archaeological method is. In three rooms, the Hall of Archeology from the Field, the Hall of Urban Archeology and the Hall of Underwater Archeology, there are sets, audiovisual and interactive that allow you to deepen the techniques that archaeologists use to discover the past and offer valuable information exhibited by an attractive and didactic way. Furthermore, the Museum has exhibition spaces for temporary exhibitions and facilities for research, conservation, restoration, cataloging and dissemination activities. The different thematic areas offer the visitor the opportunity to take an exciting walk through history. The Museum welcomes visitors by immersing them in the geographical space of Alicante, showing them the rich and varied landscape and monumental offer of these lands. From there begins the historical journey through the permanent rooms of Prehistory, Ibera Culture, Roman Culture, the Middle Ages and the Modern and Contemporary Ages.
