Windsor Castle is a royal residence in the South East of England, in the county of Berkshire.

The Castle, where Queen Elizabeth II still spends most of her free time today, has a neo-Gothic style.

Its construction began as early as the eleventh century after the English Norman conquest by William I the conqueror.

The Castle covers an area of eleven hectares and today it is the result of numerous alterations and modifications that have taken place over the centuries, despite which it has however maintained an imposing style and defined by some even theatrical.

The Windsor Catsello houses a large part of the Royal Collection, the art collection owned by Queen Elizabeth which includes thousands of works. You can also visit the state apartments which, except in the case of official events, remain open to the public and the Royal Library where important and ancient manuscripts dating back to the time of George III are kept. Together with the library, the adjoining archive can also be visited.

In the vicinity of the castle is the park, known as Home Park, where the residence of Frogmore House stands.
