The Treasure Museum of the Vigevano Cathedral is located in the Upper Sacristy of the Vigevano Cathedral. Reorganized and expanded in 2019, the core of the Museum originates from the donation made by Francesco II Sforza, son of Ludovico il Moro, to the new Diocese of Vigevano. In 1530, Francesco II obtained from Pope Clement VII that Vigevano would be elevated to the dignity of a Diocese and sent a prestigious donation to its first bishop, Galeazzo Petra, of which only a few pieces remain today, the most precious ones. Over the centuries, these have been added to by donations from bishops and faithful.
