Fondazione Coppola presents its next exhibition, scheduled from 22 July to 30 October 2022 , entitled “The vigilantes” . The exhibition is organized along four floors of the Torrione, seat of the Coppola Foundation, and focuses on two figures intimately linked to the medieval structure of the Tower: Enrico Pozzato and Paolo De Biasi. Both architects, each contributed to returning the Torrione to the city of Vicenza again through two important interventions: the first restoration carried out by Enrico Pozzato from 1997 to 1999, which made the structure accessible to the public for the first time in centuries, and the second restoration which in 2018 saw the creation of the museum itinerary of the Foundation's exhibition space, curated by Paolo De Biasi together with the UP3 Architetti Associati studio.
To unite the personalities of Enrico Pozzato and Paolo De Biasi there is also painting, practiced assiduously during their careers and declined in an extremely personal way. The two architects, the “overseers” of the Tower, will therefore return once again to its thousand-year-old fortress, but this time as artists, to exhibit their works in two personal exhibitions.
On the first and second floor, in the Dintorni exhibition Paolo De Biasi presents a heterogeneous collection of works that demonstrate his evolving pictorial path, a process that has gradually been nourished by different references, stimuli and influences, arriving at an artistic language that he wants. , rather than representing a subject, presenting a personal vision of the world.
Continuing on the third and fourth floors, one encounters the works of Enrico Pozzato, united in the exhibition entitled A full hands. A path that testifies to an incessant stylistic research, starting with his figurative works dating back to the seventies, up to his latest series of conceptual works that reveal a reflection and reworking of current historical events.
Furthermore, the exhibition will be accompanied by the exhibition of a series of drawings by Andrea Bianconi, united in the installation entitled Upstair, which recount the conception of the performance “The Millennium Chair” held last year at the Foundation.
