Eataly Art House – E.ART.H. presents on the occasion of Art Verona 2023 a new, unprecedented exhibition project, dedicated to one of the main protagonists of the Italian cultural scene of the twentieth century, whose artistic and intellectual legacy, 25 years after his death, continues to inspire generations of creatives all over the world: Bruno Munari (1907, Milan – 1998, Milan).

Curated by Alberto Salvadori and Luca Zaffarano, with the collaboration of Repetto Gallery of Lugano, the Bruno Munari exhibition. The lightness of art will be open to the public free of charge from Friday 13 October 2023 to Sunday 31 March 2024 in the spaces of the Art House on the first floor of Eataly Verona.

The exhibition project retraces the fundamental stages of a career dedicated to experimentation, which spanned the entire twentieth century, leaving a body of works as varied and innovative as ever. The exhibition provides a clear reading of the creative processes underlying Munari's poetics and the spectacular and playful forms with which the artist has always addressed an undifferentiated public, thanks to a skilful combination of art, technique and playful spirit.

A catalogue, published by Edizioni E.ART.H., rich in iconographic apparatus accompanied by short texts by Bruno Munari himself, will offer the reader a useful tool to continue the discovery of the artist's work and theoretical activity. Other documentary sections will be added to this central nucleus: a part dedicated to the latest historical-critical research, a selection of historical sources and an appendix composed of descriptive photographic sequences of the installations and light environments.

The exhibition also includes a cycle of educational workshops dedicated to the artist's creative design thinking, summarized in the famous Munari Method, curated by the Bruno Munari Association and designed by Silvana Sperati, structured by age groups and open to schools of all levels and degree and families. Initially conceived for the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan in 1977 with the title Playing with art, the laboratories are par excellence the places of experimentation, self-learning and the formulation of creative processes, which is why they find great attention in the artist's production . The activities are aimed at transforming knowledge of materials and experimental processes into concrete experience, according to the principle of "doing to understand", with the aim of providing a greater ability to read art in its various declinations. The activities designed for the exhibition develop in dialogue with the specificity of Eataly Verona and find a fundamental common thread in the cultural project of Eataly Art House, focused on food and inclusiveness.
