Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation
The Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation, established by Emilio and his wife Annabianca, is based in Venice along the Fondamenta alle Zattere.
The Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation has as its essential purpose the enhancement of the art and work of the master and the study of his figure in the artistic life of the twentieth century, through a series of cultural initiatives such as, for example, studies, research, analysis, exhibitions, courses and teaching spaces, conferences, scholarships, awards.
The Foundation faithfully follows the will of the great Venetian painter who stressed that the custody and conservation of his works could not be separated from initiatives that would spread their knowledge, also in relation to the major museums and international cultural institutions, always keeping in mind the commitment to enhance the themes "painting - space - time - history" which, in hindsight, constitute the basic coordinates of his art and his commitment.
The Foundation, near its headquarters in the Zattere, has two exhibition spaces: the Magazzino del Sale - designed by Renzo Piano - and the Spazio Vedova . These spaces are entrusted to the artistic and scientific care of Germano Celant and Fabrizio Gazzarri , director of the Collection and Archives.
