Emilio and Annabianca Vedova Foundation

The Fondazione Emilio e Annabianca Vedova, established by Emilio and his wife Annabianca, is based in Venice along the Fondamenta alle Zattere.

The Fondazione Emilio e Annabianca Vedova has as its essential purpose the enhancement of the master's art and work and the study of his figure in the artistic history of the 20th century, through a series of cultural initiatives such as, for example, studies, research, analyses, exhibitions, educational paths and spaces, conferences, scholarships, prizes.

The Fondazione faithfully follows the will of the great Venetian painter who underlined how the custody and conservation of his works could not be separated from initiatives that spread knowledge of them, also in relation to the major international museums and cultural institutions, always keeping in mind the commitment to enhance the themes "painting - space - time - history" which, on closer inspection, constitute the basic coordinates of his art and his commitment.

The Fondazione near its headquarters at the Zattere, has two exhibition spaces: the Magazzino del Sale and the Spazio Vedova, respectively restored to a design and under the supervision of Renzo Piano and for years entrusted to the artistic and scientific curatorship of Germano Celant, with Fabrizio Gazzarri as Director of the Collection and Archive.
