"Place and Signs", conceived by Mouna Mekouar, independent curator, and Martin Bethenod, director of Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana , is the seventh exhibition published at Punta della Dogana since its opening as an exhibition space, which took place in 2009, ten years ago .

Taking its title from the work of Carol Rama, it presents in the course of the exhibition, "Location and Signs" brings together a hundred works by 36 artists . "Place and Signs" invites you to cross an interior landscape where nature, artistic creation and poetry intertwine, inspired by the writings of the artist and poet Etel Adnan, with whom numerous artists on display entertain a profound complicity. As an echo of his poetry, which evokes the apparently elusive nature of natural elements, the exhibition stages the changes in the atmosphere and environmental transformations that affect Punta della Dogana: light and dark, the blue of the day and the darkness of the evening, the light and its gleams, the wind and the sea, the sounds and smells.
