From April 15th to October 1st, the Carlo Goldoni House Museum, in the historic Palazzo Centanni in San Polo, presents the exhibition " Footprints of a Mascarer - place, space and time of gesture " conceived by Gualtiero Dall'Osto and curated by Chiara Squarcina and Tobia Dall'Osto.

To be proposed is an exhibition of footprints and masks, mask-footprints and footprints-masks, through the display of negative casts in alabaster, large masks, therefore positive, in papier-mâché and resin, arranged both on the ground floor and on the first piano. The artist and creator of the project, Gualtiero Dall'Osto, triggers many personal reflections on these particular "symbolic" objects, linked not only to the Commedia dell'Arte - starting with the Goldonian theater reform - but also to our contemporaneity, with a common thread that leads us to question the meaning of the mask of our time. The meanings of the "mask" are multiple, not least the one closely connected to the art of whoever creates it, the mascarer.

However Dall'Osto, in his "obsession" as an artist, has not tired of demonstrating for some time now that the mask is not just a simple object to wear: for the artist it is a creature, endowed with a life of its own, with an inside and an outside, capable of transmitting the silent cry of pain or indignation for what is happening around us and it is for this reason that it re-proposes it in an unusual form, dramatically magnified, like an enormous canvas on which to develop an introspective and psychological research on the contemporary mask.“In fact, thanks to Dall'Osto's intuition to propose this unprecedented exhibition of his creations, it will be possible to analyze the hidden meanings, some even anthropological, connected to the mask and its creator. We will also understand the creative phases of this "know-how" and how it relates to the contemporary world by translating the inexhaustible suggestions with vivid lucidity, anticipates the Head of Casa di Goldoni Chiara Squarcina .
