REMOTE FUTURE
Palazzo Erizzo Ligabue
18-27 April 2024
Space and time suspended. The return to the essential, to the ancestral dimension of the origins, to a remote past made of darkness and symbols; the return to man's innate need to express soul, thought, fears, knowledge without superstructures; to grasp the light in the darkness.
This is the atmosphere evoked by the Giancarlo Ligabue Foundation in the event set up at Palazzo Erizzo Ligabue (Venice) from 18 to 27 April with the exhibition of ten photographs by the artist Domingo Milella (Bari, 1981), who has been carrying out his creative research in the most important historic prehistoric caves for the history of the human species. The setting up and opening, after sunset, of the FUTURO REMOTO exhibition (free visits with reservations required at 7.30pm and 9.00pm), in the rooms of the Palazzo on the Grand Canal stripped bare by the works that the Foundation has started, in view of the public use of the headquarters and the birth of what is already called Palazzo delle Arti , wants to evoke darkness, an essential element of Milella's research.
The FUTURO REMOTO exhibition will also offer a program of experimentation and introduction of prehistoric sounds and music - atavistic sounds entrusted to different groups and interpreters - for an experience of the echo and the unknown from the depths of time and the cave.
