From 13 September to 3 November 2024
On the occasion of the Venice Glass Week 2024, the Gallerie dell'Accademia present the exhibition Glass Feast, a monumental installation of over 200 artifacts in dialogue with the Feast in the House of Levi, a masterpiece by Paolo Veronese.
Conceived by the museum director Giulio Manieri Elia, realized in collaboration with Pentagram Stiftung and curated by Sung Moon Cho, a monumental and site-specific installation will be set up with a majestic table where a glass banquet, retracing a century of the history of this art in Murano, will be in dialogue with the one painted in 1573 by Veronese.
Alongside the exhibition at the Gallerie dell'Accademia, a selection of archives related to the production of Murano table glassware from the 20th century will be displayed at the Glass Study Center of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, providing a more comprehensive view of this fascinating history.
The exhibition is accompanied by the catalog published by b-r-u-n-o.it (Venice) and curated by Sung Moon Cho with the coordination of Francesca Nisii.
