The elimination of architectural barriers was only the first step towards opening up to the widest possible audience. Today there are many precautions that museums implement for visitors with special needs, aware that the goal of museum accessibility is to ensure the same profitable visiting experience for all the public. Monica Da Cortà Fumei, responsible for many years of the educational services of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and creator of accessible educational paths, will tell you about this.
Lately there is also much talk of cultural and linguistic accessibility: places of culture are at the center of workshops and experiences for the social inclusion of linguistic and migrant minorities. We want to talk to you about it with Claudia Meneghetti and Fabiana Fazzi, L2 teachers of Italian and scientific representatives of the MILE project (Museums and Innovation in Language Education) of the Department of Linguistic and Comparative Cultural Studies of Ca 'Foscari.
Piazzetta San Marco, 17, Venice, Italy
