Painter, writer, publisher, cultural promoter, collector: there are many souls of Mario Lattes (1923-2001), whose centenary of birth is celebrated in 2023. On the occasion of this important anniversary , Mario Lattes will be inaugurated on Wednesday 29 March at the Reggia di Venaria. Theaters of Memory . The exhibition will present a selection of more than fifty works by the Turin intellectual, including several never exhibited before , set up within a path that documents the most recent investigative work on the various aspects of Lattes' artistic activity. The exhibition will be set up in the Salette del Presidente of the Reggia and can be visited from 30 March to 7 May 2023.

Mario Lattes. Theaters of memory, curated by Vincenzo Gatti, is created by the Bottari Lattes Foundation, with the support of the Piedmont Region, the patronage of the City of Turin and Confindustria Cuneo, the contribution of Banca d'Alba, Banca Banor and the UnipolSai Agency of Mondovì and the patronage and contribution of the Foundation for Jewish Cultural Heritage in Italy, in collaboration with Lattes Editori.

The exhibition presents itself at the same time as a significant milestone and a new starting point : since its birth in 2009, the Bottari Lattes Foundation has promoted numerous initiatives outlining the artist's activity as pieces of a mosaic, setting up in the exhibition venues of Monforte d'Alba and Turin of both collective and personal exhibitions, aimed at highlighting the different peculiarities of Lattes, as on the occasion of Pittoriscrittori (2013), Mario Lattes. Engravings (2013), Mario Lattes on paper (2016), Personal anthology (2016), "Library" by Mario Lattes. Illustrations for the school anthology (2020) and even earlier Mario Lattes, of me and other possible (2008). At the same time, in Italy and abroad, exhibitions dedicated to him have been organized over the years, such as Mario Lattes between painting and literature at the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague in 2014.
