Accepted the Artsupp Card
Friday, June 26 at 5:30 PM will mark the opening of the exhibition 'Archaeology of a museum. The restoration of the classical collection of the Calderini Museum', organized in collaboration with the Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Biella, Novara, Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, and Vercelli.
The exhibition will present the restoration works carried out on the entire classical nucleus - about a hundred artifacts - of the archaeological section of the museum. The interventions were funded and supervised in 2025 by the competent Superintendence and carried out by the company Carmela Sirello - Archaeological Restoration and Artwork Conservation of Turin. The exhibition project was made possible thanks to the contribution of CRV Foundation.
A selection of objects from the collection will be on display, including artifacts of certain local origin, such as some bronzes found in the second half of the 19th century on Mount Santa Maria in Vanzone, Borgosesia. Alongside these, there will be artifacts from contexts distant from Valsesia.
The exhibition marks the beginning of a journey that will enhance the entire collection by rotating the exhibits to gradually reveal the heritage to the public.
