From 13 June to 21 July 2019
SPAZIO K was born in 2017 in the Great Kitchen of the Underground of the Ducal Palace of Urbino by the will of Peter Aufreiter, director of the National Gallery of the Marche | Palazzo Ducale di Urbino, with the aim of creating a permanent space for contemporary art aimed at young emerging artists born in the Marche, or strongly linked to the Marche region, outside the training circuit.
In this third edition entitled "Il Tempo Dello Sguardo" curated by Massimo Vitangeli , Paola Pasquaretta , Andrea Nacciarriti , Luisa Mé , Daniele Bordoni , Paola Tassetti , Filippo Berta , Patrizio Di Massimo will be on display.
"Il Tempo Dello Sguard" or, a tribute to Georges Didi-Huberman and his essay Facing the image , is an idea for a review that sees the decentralized work of art within the paradigm of the image, where the opera is intended as a montage of different tempos which often serve to pose new questions of intelligibility, particularly when they manage to compose a particular rhythm by showing the vital heartbeat of the work. An anthropological rhythm of art that is confronted with contemporary seeing by putting the usual regimes of representation into play, opening the gaze towards a revolutionary knowledge founding the artistic and cultural heritage of the Doge's Palace.
The invited artists, in this perspective, will develop projects focused and evocative of the important cultural and artistic stratification, represented in the National Gallery of the Marche, by the magnificent masters such as Piero della Francesca , Paolo Uccello, Raffaello , or they will elaborate the concepts, ideas, the notions and abstractions building that deep perceptive and cognitive sensitivity at the same time, which mostly moves on unprecedented grounds and through precise writing methods.
As evidence of the events at the end of the cycle of exhibitions, a final catalog will be produced and presented which will collect all the projects carried out, the documentation of the installation of the installations and the unprecedented relationships created between the languages of contemporary art and the historic spaces of the Palazzo Ducal.
