The Fondazione Merz in Turin presents the second edition of PUSH THE LIMITS, an exhibition project that, by enhancing research, continues to investigate language and contemporary creativity in this second appointment, with artists of different generations and backgrounds who make overcoming and transforming imposed and assumed limits their own artistic grammar.

PUSH THE LIMITS culture undresses and reveals war, proposing encounters with the practices, languages, and research of 19 artists - Heba Y. Amin, Maja Bajević, Mirna Bamieh, Fiona Banner, Rossella Biscotti, Monica Bonvicini, Latifa Echakhch, Yasmine Eid-Sabbagh, Cécile B. Evans, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Mona Hatoum, Emily Jacir, Jasleen Kaur, Katerina Kovaleva, Teresa Margolles, Helina Metaferia, Janis Rafa, Zineb Sedira, Nora Turato - protagonists with unpublished, already realized, or specially recontextualized works for the spaces of the Foundation.

Curated by Claudia Gioia and Beatrice Merz, open from Monday, October 27, 2025, to Sunday, February 1, 2026, the project starts from the idea of art as regeneration and the ability to formulate thoughts and words where the urgencies of the present seem to push towards repetition and resignation to immobility. The title, PUSH THE LIMITS culture undresses and reveals war, explores the art's attitude to constantly place itself at the limit to shift the axis of thought, perception, and discourse, to introduce new solutions and readings of our time. In this second edition, the exhibition deepens its role in the face of the official narrative, which tries to normalize the devastating consequences of conflicts and destruction, and the silence of politics. "Means and ends wrap around themselves and as a result, the only thing left is not understanding what the ends are," explain the curators.
