From 19 May to 30 May 2022
Parallelozero, Polo del '900 and Salone OFF 2022 present the exhibition More modern than any modern. The geographies of Pier Paolo Pasolini by Bruno Zanzottera .
On March 5, 2022 Pasolini would have turned 100 years old. His life was violently interrupted long ago, on an evening in November 1975 on the beach of Ostia, near the mouth of the Tiber, where today lives a community of people that perfectly reflects the characters of his films and his writings. A murder with still many dark sides.
One of the most debated and controversial figures of his time, Pasolini represents a point of reference for Italian and international culture. More than a poet, a filmmaker or a writer, Pasolini is a body that lives in the dimension of myth. Due to his ability to read and anticipate the transformations of contemporary society , he is still an author of great relevance today.
The images of Bruno Zanzottera, photojournalist and founding partner of the Parallelozero agency, retrace some of the places that have marked the personal and artistic life of Pier Paolo Pasolini and are accompanied by the words - in the interviews of the journalist of Radio Popolare Claudio Agostoni - of those who he met personally or known through his works.
Pasolini's geographies are thus transformed into a real multi-dimensional story that offers new points of view and triggers new reflections .
The exhibition will be open from 19 to 30 May 2022 at the Polo del '900. Hours: Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 21.00; Saturday and Sunday from 9.00 to 20.00 Admission: free.

The opening of the exhibition will be held on Wednesday 18 May 2022 at 18:00 at the Polo del '900.
The initiative is included in the program of the OFF 2022 Salone of the Turin International Book Fair. In collaboration with the Polo del '900 which with the Piedmontese Institute Antonio Gramsci also promotes the Giuseppe Sormani International Prize for works printed on Pasolini.
