Polo of the '900

The Polo del '900 is an innovative, dynamic and open cultural center, aimed above all at the new generations and new citizens, committed to promoting the civic and cultural growth of citizenship in relation to present and future issues of society starting from a reflection on history of the '900.


Supported by the City of Turin, the Piedmont Region and the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, it is divided into the buildings of San Daniele and San Celso which house a museum, spaces for events, exhibitions and performances, a library, classrooms for teaching, an area children, conference rooms, an outdoor cinema and a mini cinema . It includes 25 organizations that represent a point of reference in the historical, social, economic and cultural research of the twentieth century and in the safeguarding of the values of the Resistance, democracy and freedoms.


The library and archival assets are represented by the assets of the partner institutions, concentrated and integrated through a process of systematization and enhancement (also digitally on the 9centRo hub and on the United catalog) of skills, resources and materials: 300,000 books, 200 periodicals currents, a historical newspaper library, 130,000 photographs, 21,000 posters, 53,000 audiovisuals, 400,000 digitized documents.
