The exhibition features a wide selection of works created over more than thirty years, starting from Short Sad Thoughts(1990) up to new productions specifically conceived for the occasion.Silent Studiofocuses on the artist's long-term research dedicated to the idea of self-portrait as a building. Born with the first formalizations in 1986, Manders' interest immediately moved away from literal and personal interpretations, focusing on an idea of self-portrait in which language plays a primary role. The artist's expressive language considers the works as "visual words," while the exhibitions as rooms of a building imagined.
