CAMERA - Centro Italiano per la Fotografia inaugurates the autumn season of 2023 with two major exhibitions at its headquarters in Turin, presenting itself to the public in a new guise, the result of the important architectural renovation project currently underway in these months, combined with the creation of an innovative, and unique in Italy, visual-tactile path dedicated to the history of photography.
An evolution that fully fits into the development of CAMERA as a reference point for the dissemination of photographic culture in Italy through exhibitions, meetings, educational activities, courses, to increase knowledge, stimulate discussion, raise questions, and deepen the narrative of reality through images.
In line with its mission of spreading photographic culture, CAMERA expands and proposes, concurrently with the exhibitions at the Turin headquarters, three other major exhibitions in three other Italian cities. To these two exhibitions is added in the Manica Lunga a great novelty: the permanent multimedia exhibition The history of photography in your hands. An original proposal by CAMERA, the first of its kind in Italy in terms of typology and conception, a long timeline built through texts, images, video materials, born from the desire to allow everyone, including blind or visually impaired people, to enjoy texts, images, and digital content.
