Bekhbaatar Enkhtur Hearsayilly Present Future 2023 Prize Exhibition31October2024 – 5 January2025 Opening: October 31, at 6 pmFondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo presents Hearsay, solo exhibition by Bekhbaatar Enkhtur, winner of the illy Present Future 2023 Prize, an initiative promoted by illycaffè and Artissima. The exhibition gathers a series of new works dedicated to common symbols of superstition and luck, such as the shooting star and its trail. Hearsayweaves together the notions of faith and fallibility as two halves of a whole, exploring the ways in which humans seek to understand the world around them, through beliefs and mythologies, logic and rational thought..At the center of the room is a sculpture of an owl, made of beeswax, surrounded by dozens of falling stars in metal, each with small sound crackers inside their cavities ready to explode. The owl is a symbol of mystery and nocturnal knowledge, a source of omens, while the stars are the example paradigmatic of how humans construct meanings: seeing shapes in their constellations, the
