The Ettore Fico Museum preserves a corpus of over 2,000 graphic works by the master in its deposits. Great designer Ettore Fico has developed throughout his artistic career a parallel path with respect to the pictorial work, producing series of drawings and albums made in pencil, charcoal, ink and markers. Important and little known, the production of works on paper spans fifty years of Italian history and Fico's life without, however, making any reference to political, social or personal facts. For Fico his work had to be timeless, the place in which to dialogue and compare with his "teachers of the heart". The sheets appear as "letters" addressed to artist friends, sheets of an intimate diary, notes of thoughts, as intimate and poetic reflections, as erotic and sensual notes. His quick and decisive touch describes nature, landscapes and still life objects in a masterly way. His technique, little known, is among the best and highest expressions of the Italian twentieth century. This extremely refined exhibition is created for the intimate knowledge of his work and adds an important element for all those who appreciate his work and want to deepen it through works never exhibited until now. The exhibition is aimed at a wide audience, from the simple amateur to the collector, to primary schools up to students of academies.
