From 26 September to 30 May 2021
The Capa in color exhibition presents, for the first time in Italy, the color shots of Robert Capa , a world-famous photographer. The collection is presented by ICP-International Center of Photography, thanks to the ICP Exhibitions Committee and public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the city council.
Curated by the International Center of Photography of New York, it is produced by the Ares Society with the Royal Museums and set up in the Chiablese Halls from September 26, 2020 to January 31, 2021. Robert Capa is internationally known as a master of black and white photography, but has worked regularly with color films until his death in 1954. Although some photographs were published in newspapers of the time, most of the color shots had not yet been presented in a single exhibition. The exhibition features over 150 color images, personal letters and notes from the magazines in which they were published .
