From 5 October to 4 November 2024
As part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Guardia di Finanza, Palazzo Madama hosts in the Medieval Courtyard the exhibition 250 YEARS - TRADITION AND FUTURE which offers a real immersion into the history of the Guardia di Finanza.
Visitors indeed have the opportunity to walk through a structure that envelops them in the chronological succession of the most significant moments and events that have marked the history of the Corps.
The exhibition starts from 1774, the year of the establishment of the Light Troops Legion of the Kingdom of Sardinia, the first Italian example of a Corps conceived for military and customs surveillance at the borders, and goes all the way to the modern and versatile economic-financial police of today.
A 250-year history in service of the community, told in an imaginative and visual way through a succession of paintings and enriched by historical artifacts from the Historical Museum of the Guardia di Finanza, the Royal Museums of Turin, and the State Archive of Turin.
The combination of these elements highlights the many aspects that have contributed to shaping and consolidating the Corps' Tradition, a solid foundation on which to build the Future.
