The Museum of Contemporary Art San Rocco is located in the historic center of Trapani and is located next to the church of the artists St. Albert of Trapani and the Episcopal seminary in Casa Santa. The Palazzo San Rocco houses inside the inventories of the church of San Rocco, which still can be admired. The Palace is now an interdisciplinary museum center organizes temporary exhibitions and enhances the museum collection. The Diocese of Trapani manages the establishment since 2004, the year of its opening. The Museum houses a collection of contemporary art and sacred and has about 130 international artists with over 200 works. On display are the likes of Carla Accardi caliber, Adrian Paci, Turi Simeti, Alberto Gianquinto and many others. The layout of the museum is the perfect relationship between the works and the exhibition space while maintaining the religious and spiritual aura. In fact, the hall has been transformed into an oratory with a small apse that welcomes a modern crucifix by Marco Papa. The center of the building remains the church around which are held all museum activities.
