On the next 19th of October, a great and unprecedented exhibition dedicated to the masterpieces of the most important Italian artists of the post-war period will open in Turin, at the Sale Chiablese of the Royal Museums.A unique collection of 80 works, all coming from the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, will be exhibited outside the Roman museum for the first time, giving life to a project of great critical and exhibition rigor, presenting the artistic testimonies of an unrepeatable season. In addition to highlighting the thirty-year relationship that the superintendent Palma Bucarelli had with an exceptional group of artists, the exhibition emphasizes the richness of the collections of the Roman museum and exalts the 21 most representative artists who animated an unprecedented season in the panorama of Italian modern art: Ettore Colla, Pino Pascali, Giuseppe Capogrossi, Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, Mimmo Rotella, Bice Lazzari, Afro, Piero Dorazio, Giosetta Fioroni, Carla Accardi, Giulio Turcato, Gastone Novelli, Toti Scialoja, Sergio Lombardo, Tano Festa, Franco Angeli, Piero Manzoni up to Michelangelo Pistoletto, Mario Schifano and Emilio Isgrò.Produced by the Royal Museums and Arthemisia with the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, the exhibition curated by the Director of GNAM Renata Cristina Mazzantini with the scholar Luca Massimo Barbero, was strongly desired and made possible by Mario Turetta, Head of the Department for Cultural Activities of the Ministry of Culture and delegate director of the Royal Museums of Turin.
