The Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art is a museum and art gallery in Sunderland, north east England. It is based inside the National Glass Center. The gallery is renowned for working closely with new generation artists and for organizing contemporary art exhibitions and events. Historically, therefore, the gallery is committed to the promotion and dissemination of innovative and experimental art. He has featured artists such as Sean Scully, Claes Oldenberg, Coosje van Bruggen, Sam Taylor-Wood, Spartacus Chetwynd, Cory Arcangel and Harun Farocki. Over the years the gallery has managed to acquire works by various artists through which to tell the history of contemporary art. The exceptional generosity of the artists he collaborates with has led to the creation of a collection that now numbers over a hundred works. The gallery is also working closely with the National Glass Center to ensure that artists interested in working with glass can develop their designs in new ways, while also working with state-of-the-art tools.
